A Gentlemen’s Agreement

A Gentleman’s agreement came out months before Israel declared independence.

The movie came out in November 1947 and Israel declared independence on May 41, 1948.

This movie has great actors, especially my favorite old time dreamboat actor Gregory Peck.

But what makes it special is that it shows what life for Jews was like at the time.

It takes place in New York, in 1947 — which as the same year the book was also published — so we’re talking about even after the Holocaust was public knowledge and WWII had been over for two years.

A reporter is pitched the idea to write an article pretending to be Jewish. His name is Green, so it can go either way.

The cause hits home, so he does it.

He even turns his name on his mailbox inside his apartment building to Greenberg.

My grandparents have told me about similar experiences that they had before Israel was a state, and how things changed for the better for Jews — even American Jews — once we had our own country.

Cast a Giant Shadow

Cast a Giant Shadow has crazy famous actors — including “Blue Eyes” Frank Sinatra and the incredible Yul Brynner.

It is the (based on) a true story of David “Mickey” Marcus, a former American-Jewish who after fighting in WWII goes to Israel to fight for its independence.

The movie shows Micky helping win the War of Independence.

It’s a very meaningful movie.

The Hobbit

I bet you didn’t think the Hobbit had anything to do with Jews and Zionism!

The Hobbit actually doesn’t. The Dwarves on the other hand have everything to do with it.

I realized the striking similarities between the way the Dwarves felt about their home Under the Mountain and the way the Jews longed for their homeland — and some cultural details that seemed distinctly Jewish.

J. R. R. Tolkien published his novel the Hobbit in 1937.

Over a decade before Israel became an independent country after about 2000 years of colonisation — as the kids today like to say — by many different cultures, beginning with the Romans and ending with the British.

But this isn’t just my astute literary analysis (even if it’s in movie form), Tolkien said so himself.

Tolkien, “The dwarves of course are quite obviously Jews. Their words are Semitic. There’s a tremendous love of the artefacts, and of course the immense warlike capacity of the Jews, which we tend to forget nowadays.”

Watching this movie, even though it’s fiction and fairytale like, shows a very accurate portrayal of the longing Jews felt for Israel for 2000 years — something that we are blessed to have as a pretty foreign concept today.

12 Angry Men

12 Angry Men isn’t Jewish, but I think as Zionists in a time with anti-Israel propaganda and all the antisemitism online it’s very relatable.

It’s the story of a jury of 12 men who hold in their hands the life of a teenage boy accused of murder.

You’d think that would be something they’d take very seriously wouldn’t you?

Like say… the accusations of genocide?

But actually, only one out of 12 men do.

Most are willing to take the facts as presented to them at face value, deliver a verdict, and move on with their lives — because it’s no skin off their back.

One juror even lets his own prejudice drive his motivation to see this boy hang — you know, like “from the river to the sea!”

It’s only Juror 8 who cares about making sure that this boys life isn’t destroyed for no reason. It’s only him who seeks to find truth and justice.

And at first he stands alone, against everyone else, to do it.

I have been writing the Israel Daily Digest for almost seven months now, and in the beginning it felt incredibly meaningful.

I felt I was helping people stay informed by gathering the day’s news into one place and making it easier to understand.

But over time, the war became quieter, and I found that the only time it still felt deeply meaningful was when I was honoring fallen soldiers.

It took me a while to accept it, but I don’t want to write this newsletter anymore.

What I want to write about now is life in Israel itself: the people, the traditions, and everyday life in Samaria that you can’t read about in the news.

So, while I am so proud of this newsletter, and I am so grateful to you for being a part of it, this is my last letter to you from the Israel Daily Digest.

However, I hope that you will join me my next project, which is one very close to my heart: Letters From a Settler.

Sergeant First Class Nir Ben Ari, aged 21, from Kerem Maharal, a soldier in the Maglan Unit, Commando Brigade, fell in combat in southern Lebanon.

Nir was killed by an explosive drone.

In the attack in which Sergeant First Class Nir Ben Ari fell, two additional IDF soldiers were severely injured, and an IDF officer was moderately injured.

The soldiers were evacuated to receive medical treatment at a hospital, and their families have been notified.

Top IDF Operations

• The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated a Hamas terrorist who infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7th massacre and took part in holding Omer Shem Tov hostage in Hamas captivity and participated in the release ceremony prior to Omer being brought home.

• The IDF eliminated more than 20 Hezbollah terrorists were eliminated, including more than 10 terrorists from the Radwan Force.

• The IDF dismantled more than 50 terrorist infrastructure sites, including observation posts and weapons storage facilities.

• The IDF located located a significant underground terror tunnel over 200 meters long and more than 25 meters deep, containing hundreds of weapons, four launch shafts, hundreds of drones and anti-tank missiles, and 12 rooms, including living quarters and rooms used to store explosive devices, anti-tank missiles, and UAVs.

The Home Front

• Miracle: A soldier installed an eruv wire (used for religious purposes) at an outpost in the north. A few days later an explosive drone was launched from Lebanon toward the area. The drone was caught on the eruv wire and as a result, the drone exploded and the soldiers were unharmed.

• For the first time at the Tel Nof base, the new Haredi tech course has opened. Around 20 soldiers enlisted in the new track in Squadron 106 (”The Spearhead”), who are set to integrate as Grade A technicians in the array within a new underground Haredi bunker.

• Minister of National Security Ben Gvir, “Since I took office, we have recruited about 1,400 Haredim to the police, the Prisons Service, and the national security bodies, a 186% increase, and as part of the Haredi recruitment reform, I established the Haredi Border Guard Company ‘Event.’ Yesterday I arrived at the company to strengthen the fighters and express appreciation to the pioneers and trailblazers who prove that it’s possible to preserve Haredi identity and make a significant contribution to the security of the State of Israel. Proud of them and the path they are leading.”

• IDF, “In the summary of the 2025 draft year (which will end in about three weeks at the end of June) between 3,000-3,500 Haredi soldiers were added to the IDF.”

Local Israeli News

• A 23-year-old woman has become the first patient in Israel to undergo a rare spinal shortening procedure for tethered cord syndrome.

• Performed at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, the groundbreaking surgery is among only 200 such procedures ever conducted worldwide.

• Daniela Gonzalez and Shiray Danenberg won gold at the MEVZA tournament in Croatia, becoming the first Israeli women ever to claim a gold medal at a senior MEVZA event.

• Nadav Raisberg won the points classification at the Tour Auvergne Rhône Alpes in France, one of the most important preparation races ahead of the Tour de France.

• Israeli fencer Alon Sarid won silver at the European Fencing Championships in France.

Staff Sergeant Nave Habshoosh, aged 20, from Geva Binyamin, a soldier in the 52nd Battalion, 401st Brigade, fell in combat in southern Lebanon.

Staff Sergeant Yoav Klein, aged 21, from Herzliya, a soldier in the 52nd Battalion, 401st Brigade, fell in combat in southern Lebanon.

Staff Sergeant Liav Kababia, aged 20, from Hod Hasharon, a soldier in the 52nd Battalion, 401st Brigade, fell in combat in southern Lebanon

• Israel Foreign Ministry, “The remarks made by the President of Belarus - a country that knows all too well the horrors of the Holocaust committed on its own soil - in his interview with Al Arabiya are unacceptable and deeply disturbing. Any comparison between the Holocaust of the Jewish people and Israel’s just war against terrorism must be unequivocally rejected. Equally appalling is the revival of vile, outdated antisemitic conspiracies that should have long been consigned to history.”

• Israeli Ambassador to The UN, “The UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Tom Fletcher, attacks Israel in a Security Council debate, but systematically avoids calling the problem by its name. It’s time to stop engineering reality. The only reason for the humanitarian situation in Gaza is: H-A-M-A-S.”

• U.S. Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, “I urged EU leaders to reject draft measures that would target businesses and organizations operating in Judea and Samaria, including U.S. companies. Israel is defending its citizens from terrorism. The EU should stand with a democratic ally, not isolate it or reward terrorists.”

• Gustavo Petro said he does not recognize the results of the elections and claimed “Israel intervened in Colombia’s elections.”

• The State of Israel filed a civil lawsuit in the amount of approximately two million shekels with the Haifa Magistrate’s Court against the four terrorists from the “Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine” organization who abducted and murdered in 1984 the soldier Moshe Tamam of blessed memory.

Top IDF Operations

• The IDF eliminated a Hamas terrorist from the Shadow Unit who held Israeli hostages. He was the Hamas member whom former hostage Omri Shem Tov was forced to kiss on the forehead during the hostage release ceremony.

• The IDF eliminated the engineering officer of Hamas West Jabalia Battalion in Gaza City. The terrorist was involved in the production and distribution of weapons to the battalion’s companies and was responsible for the construction of explosive devices and booby-trapped buildings.

• The IDF eliminated the commander of Hamas’ sniper array in Gaza City who was responsible for directing sniper attacks against IDF troops operating in the area.

The Home Front

• An IDF soldier was seriously wounded, two IDF soldiers were moderately wounded, and two additional IDF soldiers were lightly wounded as a result of an explosive drone strike in southern Lebanon. The soldiers were evacuated to receive medical treatment at a hospital and their families have been notified.

• The Americans are building in Israel, near the border with Gaza.

• IDF, “Since the beginning of 2026 alone, more than 240 firearms and many additional weapons have been confiscated. The IDF and security forces will continue operating to thwart terrorism throughout Judea and Samaria in order to safeguard the security of Israeli civilians.”

Global Antisemitism

• There was a shooting attack in Montreal near a kosher supermarket in a Jewish neighborhood. A Jewish man was killed by a female police officer who believed he was the attacker.

• Israeli Ambassador to The UN, “We stand with the Jewish community in Montreal and pray for the recovery of those injured. In the face of such evil, we must stand together and reaffirm that there is no place for hatred or antisemitism in any society. Those responsible for this appalling attack must be brought to justice.”

• Israeli Ambassador to The UN, “On the International Day for Countering Hate Speech, the world received a particularly troubling reminder: swastikas and hateful messages were reportedly printed in yearbooks at a UN-affiliated school in New York. While the United Nations continues to hold discussions on tolerance and combating hatred, antisemitism continues to surface even within institutions associated with it. The fight against hate cannot be selective.”

• An eighth-grade Jewish student at Southern Hills Middle School in Boulder, Colorado was strangled with a cord while being called a “stupid kike. The student endured months of antisemitic abuse, including physical assaults, Nazi salutes, “Jew tag” games, and classmates telling him Hitler should have finished the job.

• The mayor of Sesia, Italy received a threatening letter with a bullet as a warning against the continued settlement of Zionist families in the area.

• During a City Council session in Perpignan, France, local elected official Annabelle Brunet performed a Nazi salute. Her colleagues seated beside her burst into laughter.

• Following Algeria’s 3–0 World Cup loss to Argentina, Algerian journalist Mustafa Al-Muizzawi accused Lionel Messi of being protected by “the Jewish lobby,” calling them a “mafia” that “controls the world.”

• At an anti-Israel march in Balikpapan, Indonesia protesters waved Iranian, Palestinian, and Hezbollah flags before chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.” Children were dressed up as terrorists and paraded through the rally and were taught games where they stomped on American, British, and Israeli flags.

• The Hanukkiyah in Temuco, Chile was vandalized with the word “genocide.”

• Anti-Israel protesters in San Sebastián, Spain took to the streets with a banner equating the Star of David with a Nazi swastika.

• Pennsylvania Hospital (Penn Medicine) employee Michael Nocella films a TikTok at work portraying a harmful stereotype of greedy, money-hungry Jews. Now, Michael Nocella is no longer employed with Penn Medicine.

• The sole Jewish representative on the board of trustees of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, Mark Berlin, resigned from his position in protest over the intention of the institution to present a one sided exhibition about “the Nakba.”

Local Israeli News

• This morning, the Nature and Parks Authority reopened all sites along the northern border that had been closed due to the security situation.

• Defense Minister Israel Katz informed the heads of the local authorities that nine additional northern communities have been officially recognized as frontline communities. The communities are Sde Eliezer, Kisra-Sumei, Yesod HaMa’ala, Or HaGanuz, Meron, Bar Yochai, Safsufa (Kfar Hoshen), Beit Jann, and Hulata. They will join the list of localities eligible for the benefits and support granted to such communities.

• Israeli identity security startup Apono is being acquired by cybersecurity company 1Password in a reported $250M–$300M deal.

• Israel Railways is building a new passenger hall on the western side of the railway station in Herzliya, along with bridges, a parking lot, and a public transit terminal. For the first time, there will be direct access to the employment and commercial centers in the western part of the city, a move expected to serve tens of thousands of passengers daily and reduce traffic congestion in the area.

LTC Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon, aged 32, from Beit HaShita, the commander of the 52nd Battalion, 401st Brigade, fell in combat in southern Lebanon.

Dor was killed by a drone strike.

He fell in combat while leading his soldiers at the front, together with his tank crew — three additional soldiers who fell by his side.

He was married and the father of two daughters.

He came from a family of fighters.

He and four of his brothers all enlisted in combat, and his wife serves as a combat officer in the Combat Intelligence Collection and Border Defense Corps.

Geopolitics

• IDF Spokesperson, ״We lost four of our soldiers. They were killed while protecting their country. Over the course of weeks, and including last night, Hezbollah has launched hundreds of explosive drones and rockets at Israeli civilians and soldiers. These attacks by Hezbollah are violations of the ceasefire. They prove that Hezbollah’s goals remain the same: to remain on Israel’s borders and to plan and carry out attacks on our civilians. This is not a reality we can accept, and this is exactly why the IDF continues to operate in southern Lebanon.”

• The U.S. Treasury Department imposed personal sanctions against the deputy chairman of Hezbollah’s Political Council, as well as against a prominent Maronite Christian politician who heads the Lebanese Marada Movement and was Hezbollah’s preferred candidate for President of Lebanon (but was not elected).

• Omid Dana, the journalist associated with the Iranian opposition, expresses condolences (in Hebrew) for the IDF soldiers who fell in southern Lebanon.

• Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, ‏״We are staying in southern Lebanon to defend the people of Israel, as any self-respecting country would do.״

• Defense Minister Israel Katz, “Israel has no intention of withdrawing from the Beaufort.”

Top IDF Operations

• The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated a terrorist who took part in the abduction of 12-year-old Yagil Yaakov on October 7th and attempted to train terrorists at Nasser Hospital.

• The IDF eliminated Hamas terrorists who facilitated the transfer of over half a billion NIS to the terrorist organization’s military wing.

• The IDF eliminated a Hamas terrorist also served as a sniper as well an Al Jazeera cameraman. He was eliminated alongside two additional Hamas terrorists. He worked alongside his brother, a key terrorist in Hamas’ rocket and weapons production headquarters, who also operated under the guise of an Al Jazeera journalist and was eliminated in April.

• In response to Hezbollah’s repeated and blatant violations, the IDF struck more than 150 targets and eliminated dozens of Hezbollah terrorists.

The Home Front

• An IDF reserve officer was severely injured as a result of an explosive drone impact in southern Lebanon. He was evacuated to receive medical treatment at a hospital, and his family has been notified.

• IDF soldiers eliminated two terrorists who hurled Molotov cocktails toward the community of Karmei Tzur in Judea.

• The Home Front Command is lifting all restrictions from the northern border communities.

Global Antisemitism

• Mamdani at a conference in New York, “The AIPAC lobby funnels millions in dark money for one purpose and that is to preserve its power so they can incite us against one another.”

• A new academic study by the Israeli researchers Michael Gilad and Gal Gutman concluded that several of the world’s leading artificial intelligence systems repeatedly produce patterns that align with historical antisemitic stereotypes.

• An indictment was filed against a man in Melbourne, Australia, who set fire to a synagogue in-2024 at Iran’s direction.

Local Israeli News

• The Samaria Regional Council announced that 3 new yeshivas will open this coming summer in northern Samaria.

• Austrian Airlines has resumed its flights to Tel Aviv. It is now operating a daily flight to Vienna, which will depart from Ben Gurion Airport at 06:00am.

• The airline ‘Air France’ has extended flight cancellations to Israel until June 30.

People like to say “far left” and “far right” but the more I watch the Woke Right the more they just seem like every other “progressive.”

If you listen to what they say, it’s all basically the same thing, just with a different target market.

And I guess that’s where the horseshoe theory comes in to try to explain it.

If you’ve never heard of it, the theory basically says that both extremes end up looking similar.

But given the fact that recently Nick Fuentes came out and said he’s a Democrat and always has been, and Megyn Kelly said she hasn’t been a Republican in 20 years, I don’t buy it.

If you look at the spectrum it wouldn’t actually be right and left, it would be conservative and progressive.

Conservatives like to keep traditions, tend to be people of faith, and care a lot about right and wrong, good and evil.

Progressives tend to do the opposite. They want things to change, they tend to be atheists, and they tend to believe morality is a random social construct.

The strongest argument I’ve been able to make for horseshoe is actually the extreme progressives uniting with the Islamists.

If there is a case for what far right looks like, it isn’t Nazis default to — which doesn’t make sense because Nazis (National Socialist German Workers' Party) were far left — it’s actually the Islamists.

Think about it, they are religious fanatics, they are stuck in barbaric practices of the past, and they are obsessed with punishing those who transgresses what they define as right and wrong.

Now this love affair between the so called “left” and the Islamists has gone on for decades.

Hitler got his idea to kill the Jews from Grand Mufti.

The communist helped the Islamists over throw Iran, and as soon as they did, the Islamists executed the marxists.

And today, the Woke and the Islamists have united in their hatred of Israel and the West as a whole.

I didn’t understand why the Islamists would play footsie with people who stand against everything they believe in until I saw a clip from an interview.

In the clip the Imam Mohammad Tahini explained:

When I was an extremist, Islamist, fundamentalist I would only vote left. I saw them as very stupid.

I would fear the Conservative because they come with principles. That’s not someone they can brainwash.

But the Left, I know they have no values and no principles to begin with.

And this got me thinking, maybe it isn’t a spectrum of right and left with a horseshoe for the extreme right and extreme left.

Maybe the spectrum is simply good and evil.

The West has been gaslit by the progressives to believe that there is no such thing as good and evil — that is until you disagree with them and then you’re evil.

In recent years I’ve heard people with conservative values say that they are “classical liberals” after the Left has had a chance to live out their wildest fantasies.

But the truth is, “traditional conservatives” have been “classical liberals” since at least the creation of the United States 250 years ago.

Now, I can just imagine someone making the argument about the right owning slaves.

Newsflash, it was actually the Left who owned slaves, and the Republican president Abraham Lincoln put an end to slavery.

In fact, the Democrats were so for slavery, that they started the civil war due to the Republicans abolitionists in the north not wanting slavery to spread to new states.

Which brings me back to good vs evil.

It was Muslims who trafficked the slaves from Africa, and it was the Democrats who bought them.

So, actually, they’ve been in bed together more like centuries, not decades.

In any case, what if good are the people who are “traditional conservatives” and the “classical liberals”?

What if the difference between those two is just how much faith they have in God?

Which, you’d have to set aside the fact that many of the founding fathers were devout Christians and were classically liberal, and pretty much defined what it means to be “classically liberal.”

But setting that aside, what if today that is really the only defining difference?

And what if the closer you get to an extreme progressive and an Islamist the more evil you are?

Master Sergeant (Res.) Alexander Filin, 29 years old, from Haifa, a fighter in the Headquarters of the 36th Division, fell in battle in southern Lebanon.

The first step to solving any problem is identifying the problem.

This may sound obvious, but it’s not given the fact that many European countries actively ignore the problem, try to hide the obvious, and punish anyone who dares say what everyone knows.

The biggest and most obvious problem is the loose regulations on legal immigration and the turning a blind eye to illegal immigration.

The solution to this is deporting any new immigrant who is a drain on the country, has a criminal record, has any connection to terror - including posting online that they support it.

And really, anyone who is first or second generation immigrants that have any connection to terrorists, or support terror, should be deported.

Just because you let someone into your home doesn’t mean you have to let them stay.

If I have a terrible house guest, you better believe I’d be asking them to leave. And it is just as necessary to do the same with guests to your country.

The politicians say this is necessary to increase population growth, but that’s actually bullshit.

The reason population growth is important is because life expectancy has increased drastically in recent decades, and because of bad systems that depend on taxes to take care of the retired population, you need young people to be working to pay into taxes to take care of the old people.

However, letting in people who aren’t productive contributors to society actually makes the problem much worse than it would be.

Finland found that one Somali immigrant costs the Finnish state 951,000 euros over his lifetime, and one Iraqi immigrant: 697,000 euros. In contrast, a native-born Finn contributes a net +3,400 euros per year.

So, it takes about 280 working Finns to offset the arrival of a single Somali.

And that is if you’re just looking at the cost of supporting people who leach on society.

That doesn’t factor in the increase in crime.

By now everyone knows about the Pakistani rape gangs in England.

And just this week an illegal immigrant from Morocco murdered a woman by beheading her in Italy, and just a few days before that an illegal immigrant from Sudan attempted to behead someone in Belfast.

However, we should not make this mistake of believing only illegal immigrants are the problem. They’re not.

In 2025, Germany granted a record number of citizenships (332,500), a 14% increase compared to 2024, and it was the fifth consecutive year that Syrian refugees are the largest group among recipients of new citizenship in the country.

And in Spain, as of early 2026, about 10 million immigrants live in Spain, approximately 20.3% of the country’s total population.According to Eurostat data, the population of the European Union grew by about 1.07 million people between January 2024 and January 2025. Spain was responsible for the largest share of this increase, with an addition of around 700,000 immigrants.

The Greek Minister of Immigration warned that there are about 550,000 African migrants waiting in Libya for an opportunity to “invade” Europe.

Recent studies show that the decrease in birthrates are due to the new ability to watch watching pornography on smartphones.

So, if you want to increase birthrates, ban pornography - and let’s be honest, Europe is imprisoning people just for stating unpleasant truths about their failed policies, so this should be a welcomed replacement.

And, if Europe deceased the outrageous taxes that they charge from productive citizens to support unproductive ones, the rich would stop fleeing their countries.

What more, if European countries encouraged people to work instead of giving them an easy out for doing something few people actually enjoy doing, they would have less people draining the system and more people paying taxes into it.

Simple math.

The second problem is the European Union itself.

I’m sure there are benefits to it existing or countries wouldn’t be a part of it, however, there are lots of downsides to it too. Namely, it’s open borders policy.

The European Union charged Hungary a €1 million (approximately $1.07 million) per day for closing its boarders to immigrants that bring high crime, antisemitism, and are a drain on the system.

Instead of have being a part of the European Union which pushes agendas that are bad for countries but good for virtue signaling politicians, each country should be it’s own independent country which focuses on doing what’s best for it’s citizens, and replace the European Union with trade agreements and visa waiver agreements so they keep few benefits the benefits that the horrible EU gives.

Third, European countries have to stop believing propaganda that tells them that being patriotic will make you into a Nazi, because Nazi’s were right wing, and right wing people love their countries.

Firstly, Nazi’s were left wing.

That’s because the left wing rebranded them to get the stain off of themselves and to put it on their political opponents. And it worked. Everyone buys it.

But let’s take a look at how moronic this is.

The full name of the Nazi party is… wait for it… National Socialist German Workers' Party.

Right wing? Yeah right. No way.

And what was the USSR’s name?

Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

In Mein Kampf Hitler specifically states that his problem with the marxists is that they were globalists. Both the Nazi’s and the Marxist were socialist.

What is the left wing party in England? Labor.

What was the major left wing party in Israel? Labor.

“Works Party,” “Labor,” shame shit different phrasing.

And it is the left that historically are antisemitic - just like the Nazis and just like today. It’s the Democrats who are literally running an antisemite with a Nazi tattoo in Maine.

Sure, people try to make a case that the Woke Right are right politically, but they’re not. Nick Fuentes who people like to call “far right” came out and said he’s a Democrat and Megan Kelly said she hasn’t been a Republican for 20 years.

And Hitler wasn’t patriotic. He was just a racist.

He tried to burn Germany down in the end.

And Hitler wasn’t even German.

He was Austrian.

What he cared about was the Aryan race.

• More than two and a half years after the October 7 massacre, a new community named Ofir is set to be established in southern Israel. • In New York City, Diana Smith, 34, screamed at a Jewish woman that Jews “eat babies,” accused her of eating a baby herself, then violently attacked her, ripping out a clump of her hair and sending her to the hospital.

• Rex Crofton, 25, targeted Congregation Albert Synagogue and a nearby JCC center in separate incidents on June 2nd, smashing windows and doors in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Crofton was charged with two counts of felony criminal damage to property, desecration of a religious site, a hate crime enhancement and disorderly conduct.

• During the riots that followed PSG’s victory, a masked man carrying a rocket launcher was filmed saying it was “for the Jews.”

• An American Jewish couple was forced out of Sauna Thermas Barcelona after staff noticed one of the women wearing a Star of David necklace. Sauna Thermas has publicly apologized and condemned the actions of “Bolleras Al Vapor,” the organizers of a private event held at their venue. The group has been banned from holding future events at the sauna.

Captain Shahar Gamla, aged 23, from Natur, a deputy company commander in the Egoz Unit, Commando Brigade, was severely wounded by a drone strike on Thursday night and died to his wounds.

Captain Eitan Shmuel Lemberg, 21 years old, from Mishmar HaShiv’a, an armored corps officer in the 75th Battalion, “Sa’ar MeGolan” (7th Armored Brigade), who fell in battle in southern Lebanon.

Eitan was killed by an anti-tank missile north of the Litani River.

Master Sergeant (Res.) Haim Kalomiti, 55, a member of the rapid response team in from Tzur Natan, a reserve soldier in Battalion 8881 of the Efraim Brigade, was killed in the terror attack in Tzur Natan.

Haim fell while fighting the terrorist.

He left behind a wife and three daughters.

Three others were wounded in the attack, including one in serious condition.

The terrorist, an Israeli Arab, was eliminated.

Detectives arrested an Arab suspected of assisting in carrying out the attack in the Kokhav Ya’ir area. During the arrest he tried to stab the officers. No injuries, the terrorist was taken for questioning.

• Greek authorities arrested a 37 year old Palestinian man born in Gaza and granted asylum in Greece, suspected of planning terror attacks against Israeli tourists and belonging to Hamas. Bomb materials were found in his home.

• A DoorDash driver in Michigan, United States filmed herself refusing to deliver a customer’s food after noticing an Israeli flag displayed with an American flag outside the home. She then opened the order and ate it on camera. Her DoorDash account has been removed and she is longer an approved driver for the platform.

• The windows were shattered, by stones that were thrown at the Mishkan Abraham Synagogue in Toronto during Shabbat.

Is the Israeli government far right?

If you subscribe to my newsletter you may think that’s a stupid question…

And you’re not wrong…

But it is a claim that is commonly made.

Is it retarded? Yeah, but I figured I’d address it anyway.

You know, just in case you were curious and all.

The truth is, it’s easier to argue that they are too close to the left. And I’ve spent the last three months defending the accusation that this government isn’t betraying the country by not being right enough.

A year before October 7th, I was visiting my favorite professor at my old college in New York, who I’d politically describe as center left, and he asked me about Bibi.

I told him that the left doesn’t like him because he’s “too right” and the right doesn’t like him because he’s too left.

He could best have been described as a go along to get along Prime Minister.

He pacified the far left which infuriated the right. And of course the left hated him for not being like them, and as far as they were concerned, being in their way when they want to take complete control of the country.

Much of the country was also mad at him on the regular for not standing up strong enough to the rest of the world. Especially Obama.

But as Winston Marshall amusingly puts it, “your president is our dictator.”

And that’s coming from an English guy, so you could imagine how much more true it is for Israel who largely depends on the U.S. for the weapons we use to protect our people.

It’s also worth mentioning that Bibi was a little less of a jellyfish (you know, spineless) than many of us thought.

He did stand up to Obama by giving a speech in congress against Obama’s deal with Iran.

Say what you will about Bibi, but that took guts.

And having the guts to stand up to the most powerful man in the world at that time lead to Arab countries (who were totally impressed) quietly approach him about what later became the Abraham Accords.

Post October 7th, Bibi seems to be trying really hard to repent for his miscalculations.

His sole mission as Prime Minister is to protect the Jewish people from ever having another Holocaust, and he learned the hard way that going along to get along wasn’t going to do that.

And it’s worth mentioning that would be stupid to blame Bibi for October 7th - though many people do.

Personally, I lay the blame fully in the lap of far left Ronen Bar, who was the head of the Shin Bet at the time. It was his job to know what was going on in the Gaza Strip, and he was the one who assessed that there was nothing to worry about.

The more that comes out about that guy the more I want to see the rack and other medieval tortures brought back into fashion.

And you can’t blame Bibi for the schmuck being the head of the Shin Bet, because Bibi didn’t put him there.

And you can’t blame Bibi for keeping him, because it took Bibi fighting tooth and nail against the far left Attorney General to get the lying sniveling traitor Ronen Bar replaced.

And if you want to ask why the AG is in her place and has that kind of power, well we can go down that rabbit hole, but I’d rather save that for another newsletter.

Anyhoo, I digress.

So, there we are, post October 7th, and Bibi learns that every country he believed would not be shit if all hell broke loose actually was total and complete shit.

Including my beloved America - don’t forget, we had looney tune Biden in at the time.

And, to Bibi’s credit, when Biden’s secretary of state Blinken called yelling at Bibi for us was fighting in Gaza (when we still had hostages there) threatening to do an arms embargo and asked what we would do then, Bibi responded that the U.S. already had an arms embargo on us and that “we will fight with our fingernails if we have to.”

I still cry for the boys we lost because of the steps we had to take because of that administration. I hope God punishes them in ways that I can’t even begin to imagine.

So, is Bibi too far right?

Not even close.

Today he’d be considered an average conservative. Nothing special. Believe you me.

But what about evil Smotich or the satin himself Ben Gvir who Bibi has united to form a government with?

First of all, Smotrich is a beautiful person, and I will be voting for him in the next election.

He stands for our soldiers, he stands for our people, and he truly has a good heart.

The left just really loves smearing him.

Actually, that really should tell you all you need to know about him.

And Ben Gvir. He’s a hoot!

I consider him the comic relief of Israeli politics.

And if you believe in the supporting the police, the army, strong borders, being tough on crime, and support death penalty for terrorists - and having a sense of humor while doing it - you’d probably love the guy.

So, is the Israeli government far right?

I guess that depends on where you’re standing.

In my opinion, they’re moderate right and inline with the values of the United States of America, and maybe a little soft in comparison to some patriots.

Frankly, I’d like to see this government start saying F YOU to everyone and stop caring what the rest of the world thinks or says.

Maybe that’s just me having a privileged opinion coming from the fact that I’m American as well as Israeli, since America really can and does tell everyone else to take a hike.

And maybe it’s not fair of me to expect that of Israel now before she’s completely weapons independent.

I’m grateful though that Israel is becoming weapons independent and is starting to take the idea of peace through strength really seriously.

Now, ask me what I think Israeli politics will look like in a generation from now.

I think she will have fully taken her place as a world power by then, and I think bad times make strong men, and strong men make good times.

Sergeant Rotem Yanai, 20 years old, from Givat Ada, a personnel services noncommissioned officer in the Rotem Battalion (435), Givati Brigade, fell in the line of duty during operational activity in northern Israel.

Rotem was killed by an explosive drone strike at the base where she served as a welfare NCO.

In the same incident in which Sergeant Rotem Yanai z"l fell, a reservist soldier was seriously wounded and another reservist soldier was moderately wounded.

• The Slovenian parliament has elected the right-wing politician Janez Janša as Prime Minister. Janša is one of Israel’s most prominent supporters in Europe, who opposed the previous Slovenian government’s recognition of a Palestinian state and called the move “support for terror.” In the past, he promised to move Slovenia’s embassy to Jerusalem. Abu Ali, “Slovenia has instantly gone from being the most hostile country to Israel in the European Union to the most supportive – and this is significant within the EU. Slovenia is a full member of the Union, and now there is another automatic vote in favor of Israel (in addition to the Czech Republic).”

• Greek Health Minister, “Only a fool wouldn’t appreciate the Jews, they’re being attacked from all sides, and they’re happy and their GDP is rising. Israel has a GDP of 500 billion, they are fighting with Lebanon, Iran Yemen Hamas and Syria and they have a 3 percent increase in GDP. When asked who is happy they are in the world’s top five.”

Top IDF Operations

• The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated the Head of Hamas’ Military Wing who helped plan and execute the October 7th massacre. He was the second to last left to be eliminated of the senior Hamas military wing leaders in the Gaza Strip. Now only one remains.

• Hamas revealed that one of the captors of the late Hadar Goldin, was killed in the battles of October 7.

• IDF troops located and dismantled an underground terror tunnel approximately 100 meters long with four hideout rooms used by Hezbollah terrorists.

• The IDF struck a Hezbollah weapons production embedded within a building previously used as a civilian medical clinic, located just meters away from a mosque. Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the issuing of advance warnings, the use of precise munitions, and aerial surveillance.

The Home Front

• Five residents of East Jerusalem were arrested on suspicion of being recruited by the Popular Front terrorist organization to carry out terrorist attacks.

• A terrorist who took part in the attack in the village of Funduq in which the late Ido Zoldan was murdered in 2007 has been arrested. The terrorist was recently released from prison in the Palestinian Authority.

Global Antisemitism

• Anti-Israel posters appeared at bus stops in Germany with the inscription “All Israeli soldiers are war criminals” in German and Hebrew, “Death to the IDF,” “We don’t want you here” in German and Hebrew, and one used Hamas symbols.

• Protesters Montreal, Canada waved an Israeli flag with a swastika and red handprints indicating blood on it.

• An effigy of a Jew wearing a kippah hanging by a rope at a pro Palestinian demonstration in the heart of Montreal, Canada.

• People in Morocco dressed as Hamas terrorists marching and promoting calls to kill Jews.

• Demonstrators United States openly displayed support for Hamas, Hezbollah, and the PFLP, three U.S.-designated terrorist organizations.

• Rudy Giuliani on Mayor Mamdani’s decision for the first time not to participate in the Israeli Day Parade, “a sign of his hatred toward the Jewish people. This is the first time the mayor of New York City has not participated in the parade.”

• The U.S. Department of Justice announced that Cameron Patterson, 34, from New Jersey, has been charged with sending three threatening emails to a Jewish organization in New York in October 2024. According to the authorities, images related to violence, threats, and mass shootings were found in his iCloud account. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison.

Local Israeli News

• Antiquities thieves were caught illegally digging on the eastern slopes of Mt. Scopus and accidentally led authorities to an ancient Jewish stone vessel workshop from the Second Temple Period.

• The shekel continues to strengthen against the dollar and the euro. The U.S. dollar is trading at 2.84 shekels and the euro is trading at 3.30 shekels.

• The Bank of Israel cut the interest rate by 0.25% down to 3.75%. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, “The Israeli economy needs a sharper interest rate cut. For our part, as a government, we are managing the state budget responsibly, and the effect on the markets is clearly felt. The governor [of the Bank of Israel] should have lowered the rate more significantly in order to ease the burden on exporters, households, and business owners.”

• The Israel Land Authority Council decided that in the upcoming lottery 50% of the apartments will be allocated to reservists only, with priority given to combat soldiers. ‏The remaining 50% will be allocated to the general public.

• The first train station in Samaria has been inauguration. At the event, the Transportation Minister Miri Regev and Head of the Samaria Regional Council Yossi Dagan, the “Shehecheyanu” blessing.

• Starting next year, shuttle services will be operated to the new communities in Northern Samaria. The Samaria Development Company held its annual conference in Sa-Nur.

• The Ministry of Health issued a warning to Israelis traveling to Congo and Uganda following the outbreak of the Ebola virus. Earlier this week, the World Health Organization declared the outbreak a public health emergency of int”l concern. There is still no vaccine or specific treatment for the strain that has emerged.

• Thailand’s government shortened the tourist visa to 30 days instead of 60 days including to Israelis.
